Special Holiday Note: No 4-6 week orders will be confirmed until Jan 5th 2010. At that time we will confirm orders placed between Dec, 23rd and Jan 4th.

Our Policy:

We post if a wine is in stock or available in a week, or available in 4-6 weeks. This way the client knows exactly what they are getting into. This information will be updated weekly to be as accurate as we can be.

We do not charge any cards for non stocked items until the wine is confirmed stock at the supplier and ready to ship to us.

We offer a written guarantee of delivery date to the customer or a full refund will be provided.

 

Termes of Sale

By placing an order for wine, the Buyer warrants that they are at least 21 years of age, and that they will be responsible for the shipment of this wine being received by a person at least 21 years of age.

Placing an order does not constitute a sale. All orders will be verified and you will be contacted by phone or email to confirm the sale. Items listed are made available to us but are not guaranteed inventory.

No orders will be charged until inventory is confirmed!

Some 4-6 week orders are indeed futures and will be confirmed as such upon reply.

If wine is shipped to you, we contract with a 3rd party carrier who will ship wine that you have already purchased. Ownership of any Wine that Cellarhound sells changes hands at the time of purchase in the state of New York and is subject to sales tax in this state. By requesting that your wine be shipped to you, you are authorizing us to engage a common carrier to deliver your wine on your behalf. Cellarhound is not responsible for any breakage or damage of wine by said common carrier. WE MAKE NO REPRESENTATION TO THE LEGAL RIGHTS OF ANYONE TO SHIP OR IMPORT WINES INTO ANY STATES OUTSIDE OF NEW YORK. You, the buyer, are solely responsible for shipment of alcoholic beverage products and assume all obligations for compliance with your State's laws.

If Cellarhound, for any reason, is unable to fulfill its obligations to the Buyer, Cellarhound's sole obligation and the Buyer's sole recourse shall be a refund of the purchase price.

Cellarhound makes no warranty, expressed or implied, about the wine being sold except that Cellarhound is conveying clear title to the wine and, Cellarhounds's knowledge, the wine is what its label describes it to be. Specifically, because wine by its nature is subject to change in the bottle over time, Cellarhound makes no warranty or guaranty of the quality or drinkability of any wine sold over 10 years of age.

This contract is entered into in New York and shall be enforceable there under the laws of that State.

All goods are supplied from New York, NY and must be paid for in full prior to delivery. Thus, all goods are sold in New York and title passes to the Buyer in New York. All shipping costs, including insurance, are to be paid by the Buyer Unless otherwise implied. New York sales tax is payable on all taxable goods delivered in New York.

 

Refunds and Returns

Cellarhound wishes to provide excellent wine and service. If, for any reason, you are dissatisfied with your order, we request that you contact us within 30 days of receipt. By law, Cellarhound can only accept return of goods that are defective in quality. The circumstances surrounding the order may impact our enforcement of this policy.

When returning wine, re-cork the bottle (no more than ¼ consumed) and ship it back to Cellarhound. Please call or e-mail us for shipping instructions. Cellarhound will investigate the issue and our customer service department will contact you to resolve it quickly.

All wines will be inspected for any defects not implied in the initial listing before shipping to the client.
